i never once acted in angst
in foul anger and righteous pain
to see is to believe they say
but their words fail in vain.
and in defiance this creed, I cry
that their souls may rest

these pages will burn,
and these words shall fall on deaf ears
the insanity shall decease
frail memory dies, with this lost love
a cause forgotten, a promise broken

this dire deed undone, beneath a burning sky

this blind ambition drives hollow hearts to hollow minds
to scratch the surface, and ease the blinds

with letters of lies grown cold
